New York’s new Arabic language public school

Filed under: Blown Mind, Miseducation System — alienatedamerican @ 5:38 pm

America is truly a sick place.  Here we have an illiterate and monolingual citizenry, and when New York announced plans for a public school that would concentrate on teaching Arabic, it was initially a cause to rejoice.

But the ignorant Conservative fools that run our country quickly destroyed that reason for hope within days.   It is a scene reminiscent of how the Pentagon fired all its Gay Arabic translators,  sorely needed to communicate with ordinary people in Iraq and elsewhere.

Here is how events have been unfolding with a Jewish woman now heading up an Arabic language based  school!  The article describes her as liberal, but any liberal worth their salt would not have taken this position after the original principal was forced out for such sorry and unworthy reasons.  She heads up an Arabic language school yet doesn’t even speak Arabic!   Another Jewish overlord for the Arabs, I guess?

This is just like when the US government had a Jewish person write up the constitution of Iraq for the people of that nation, as if they themselves did not exist.   What madness!

The Stupid Country

Filed under: Miseducation System, Right Wing nuttiness — alienatedamerican @ 4:26 pm

Look at the title to this book, ‘The Stupid Country…’, that can be bought here on this site http://www.unswpress.com.au/isbn/0868408069.htm   I fooled you though.  You thought that the stupid country being referred to would be the United States of America, but instead, it is Australia!

And why is Australia being described as a stupid country?   It is simply because, like the US, it is dismantling the public schools through privatization.   And so is Great Britain, too.   Stupid us, eh?

I first noticed myself becoming alienated as a public school student back in the 4th grade.   Funny.    My daughter is experiencing exactly the same, and right at the same time…. which is still the 4th grade!

But are Charter Schools less alienating and more educating?   Hah!    Don’t make us laugh.   Out of desperation in my first marriage, my wife and I paid for our 2 children to go to a private, Mennonite High School instead of the public schools.   Imagine how I felt when I discovered that they were teaching Creation Science (though in an overall better social environment than provided at the public schools)?   Well, I felt alienated is the answer.

The only thing worse than the miserable American public schools of yesteryear are the miserable public schools of today, as the government and Right Wing set out to dismantle them by privatizing a section of the education system.   Stupid us for allowing this to happen.   It looks bad for what’s to come down in the years ahead.    We will then be the stupider country.
