The campaign for US military intervention in Africa

Filed under: Africa, Liberal nuttiness — alienatedamerican @ 3:19 pm

Even as the world observes that US military intervention creates disaster everywhere, many liberals continue  demanding intervention against Sudan.   However, many Leftists are becoming more savvy about this pro-imperialist propaganda hiding under the pretense of being a humanitarian crusade.

Because of that increasing Left awareness,  a flood of comments criticizing the ‘Save Darfur’ crusade has most recently been appearing on Left web sites.   At long last, this  campaign for intervening  is becoming seen as a smokescreen to deflect antiwar criticism of the continued  US occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan, and their occupation by proxy of Somalia, too.

Even the publication Spiked-online has been carrying some interesting commentary about the pro-intereventionist activism of the ‘Save Darfur’ people.   Check out this article and the other articles in their archives.   http://www.spiked-online.com/index.php?/site/article/3723/

Darfur as cover for looting African oil

Filed under: Africa, Liberal nuttiness — alienatedamerican @ 6:24 pm

When liberals get going about the need for government’s forces to humanitarian intervene somewhere, it always is a cover for the interests of the Empire.   East Timor is now a failed economy firmly and fully in the orbit of Australian control, East Europe is totally in the hands of the US after the push by ‘humanitarians’ to go and intervene in Kosovo and Bosnia against Yugoslavia, and Darfur is now on the radar screens of these very same nice liberal folk, who will only be helping extend the US into a battle with China to control African oil resources on the entire continent for our own corporate-controlled  society at home.

It should always be suspect when instead of confronting society’s ills at home, supposed liberals want to go off and supposedly solve problems they know absolutely nothing about in areas the other side of the globe.   Instead of working to get the US out of Iraq and Afghanistan, these types want to act as if their big hearts can solve problems in Sudan!   Instead of opposing US intervention in Somalia, they want the US to intervene in Darfur!   And not a bleep about the Pentagon’s new African command center (AFRICOM) can be heard from their lips…

Darfur interventionism helps get the Pentagon into Africa. ’We’re there to help the Blacks fight off the nasty Arabs.   We’re there because the Chinese are bad.’  And so on…blah, blah, blah.   And these ‘nice’ people think that they are being radically subversive, too!    Go figure?

Getting into Darfur is nothing more than a cover for getting the US more into Africa as a whole.  It’s the US vs China in the rush to pull out the oil.

China has the carrot to offer Africa, but the US has the stick.   A stick welded by the Pentagon, not the ‘nice’ humanitarians who no doubt will be voting for the Democratic Party politicians so well known as great humanitarians.   It would be funny if it was not so sad.
