American Cowards, the Big Herd

Filed under: Politics — alienatedamerican @ 6:05 pm

An article by Conn Hallihan titled Death at a Distance: The US Air War indirectly highlights the political cowardice of the American people as a whole, the politicians of both the corporate parties that the American people have been glued to for so long, and the Pentagon itself. The article focuses on how the Americans are turning to using pilot less drones to bomb targets located in civilian areas.

This has certainly become the American Way, another cowardly war fought by technocratic cowards, directed by political cowards, and tolerated quiescently by a cowardly American population as a whole, that flat out refuses to up its level of currently minuscule protest against what is being done in its name.

This Wednesday I got a brief glimpse of the cowardly rats gathering together once again to move towards yet another expansion of the US military-industrial complex in something called Fort Carson Piñon Canyon expansion. Only the people directly effected by losing their ranches seem all that motivated to oppose yet more base, more bombs, more soldiers. The rest of the Colorado population appears to hardly give a rat’s ass about the issue, and that’s who was gathered inside the city government building to nod and pose for the cameras…rat’s asses. And the rat’s ass king who was there at this meeting has got to be Senator Ken Salazar.

What is the relationship between pilot less aircraft murdering children in foreign lands from way up high and this planned expansion of one of The Springs’ local bases? My short answer is that you are just another American coward if you don’t get out and try to fight these creeps on both issues. Many of you liberal do-nothing voters put Ken Salazar into office with your votes, and yet most of you haven’t the courage to get out and do anything to stop this King of political cowards from getting off the political hook for his constant double speak.

I’m not advocating that you do this, but Democratic Party liberals really ought to be burning down their local party HQ instead of voting for your creeps once again. Instead, you seem to be just another part of this long herd of American Cowards supporting continual war. Get off your asses and demand that America stop murdering kids in foreign lands with pilot less drones and by starving them and their parents. You don’t need this damn Fort Carson at all. Your vote doesn’t count so don’t use the fact that you vote to excuse your complicity through your constant inaction.

Jewish shit ruins community

Filed under: Middle East — alienatedamerican @ 3:51 pm

Oh, it is just so anti-Semitic of me to say it… “Jewish shit ruins community’.   Shame on me!  How ’bout, ‘Apartheid shit runs community’?  Is that better?

Corporate graffiti ban

Sao Paulo, Brazil has passed a ban on corporate billboards saying that it was controlling this form of pollution by doing so.  We need the same law passed throughout the US, PLUS laws banning corporate made littering such as the humongous amount of this done through corporate advertising in papers and the throwaway waste of fast food joints.   Simple ideas that DO NOT limit freedom of speech at all, but would help save the ecology of the planet.

The video documentary is excellent along with the written report.  Check them out… http://www.alternet.org/story/60084/

Mine company corruption and murder

Chinese miners, 160 trapped in flooded mine.   Utah, a lesser number of miners now dead inside a coal mine.   Mining everywhere is run by some of the most corrupt capitalist companies around.

In Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, Southern Copper, a US mining company is constantly breaking strikes, shooting down individual miners, and cooperating with drug traffickers via their friends, the local police.  Here is an article that takes a snap shot of this mine and the struggles of its mine workers in 1999, but the killings i this town go on a yearly basis…

Here is Wikipedia on the historical record

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cananea

There is even an excellent film called ‘Cananea’ that gives some of the mining history of this town located one hour from Douglas, Arizona.   Check it out some day!   And support the miners in their struggle for decent working conditions and safe ecological running of the mines.   Their safety is your safety, too.

The forgotten refugee camp

Filed under: Middle East,Military-industrial-police state — alienatedamerican @ 5:42 pm

Can you believe that the American government and its Lebanese government allies are still pounding the al-Bared refugee camp in Northern Lebanon?   What about the 31,000 Palestinian refugees that got terrorized by this military action and fled for their lives?   Nobody cares, do they, in these days of total American apathy about the fate of others?   We are like the Nazi era Germans.   All for ourselves…

Love gone deadly in Oz

I’m putting the ‘comic’ tag on this one to show my bad taste.   After all a woman was killed in this unfortunate incident of what can happen when one’s pet falls in love with you.

In this case, a woman’s male ‘pet’ camel fell in love with her and killed her in a moment of passionate love.   So next time in PetSmart, Women, pass up buying a pet camel… for your own good.

The power of Positively Idiotic Thinking

Filed under: Comic,Right Wing nuttiness — alienatedamerican @ 1:41 am

Is there really 1/2 of the US population that believes that the earth is only 10,000 or less years old?   So says this British report about the 150,000 visitors that have flooded in to see the new Creationist Science (Dinosaurs in the Garden of Eden) Museum in the last  3 months.

Isn’t that scary?    These are our insane neighbors, and so many of them, too!   One big reason to call myself Alienated American.

I’m living in the Land of the Nutty…  Most of these people even paid $20 apiece to massage their ignorance, too!!!

Kangaroos agree to continue torturing Jose Padilla

Filed under: Common Sense,Injustice System — alienatedamerican @ 8:03 pm

What can you say about a kangaroo court where the jurors color coordinate their clothes in rows of Red, White, and Blue as they sit in judgment of a man tortured for over 3 years?   This is the image of our America that the rest of the world now has received…  of being a country with a  court system where the jurors actually boast of their lack of being anything other than a  kangaroo court for the government as it makes legal the use of torture on prisoners.   What a sick country we are become.

Why do they hate us so (in Pakistan)?

Filed under: Common Sense,Military-industrial-police state — alienatedamerican @ 7:47 pm

Just why do the natives hate us?   Our elite US intelligentsia just wants to know, and they are perpetually puzzled?   We are so nice and generous that it is inexplicable that they hate us?

Here is a story in today’s news about ‘Condi’ Rice setting about to determine the government that the people of Pakistan will get.  Oh, our US corporate leaders do so much for democracy everywhere!   I wonder why they hate us so?
